es-Selâmü aleyküm ve rahmetullâhi ve berekâtüh...

Greetings to friends who know us… May Allah the Almighty give heaven and earth’s goodness to all of them. May Allah make them happy in both worlds…

Sometimes, Jibril’s arrival for the Prophet (peace be upon him) was delayed. During this period of delay, the Prophet (peace be upon him) became worried.

For example, the delay that caused the revelation of Surah al-Duha…

Prophet (peace be upon him) became worried, thinking, “Is there something wrong with me that has caused the revelation to cease?” Allah the Almighty revealed Surah al-Duha to him:

“Your Lord has not abandoned you, nor has He become hateful. And your Lord will give so much reward to you.”

This good news bringer Surah has been revealed. Sometimes revelation didn’t come often, get delayed. One time, they asked the Prophet (peace be upon him):

Yâ Resûlallah! Lekad ebtaa anke Cibrîl? “Jibril’s arrival has been delayed; the time interval increased.”

What did the Prophet (peace be upon him) say in response to them?

Now we will learn an interesting and important thing from that Hadith-i Sharif:

Ve lime lâ yübtî annî ve entüm havlî lâ testennûne ve lâ tukallimûne ve lâ tekussûne şevâribeküm ve lâ tentifûne.

This Hadith-i Sharif has been narrated by Ahmad b. Hanbal and in the other resources Ibn Abbas (radiyallahu anh).

Ve lime lâ yübtî. “Why wouldn’t he get delayed? He is delayed because…” Ve entüm havlî. “You are around me.”

You are around me, you are with me, you are in my entourage, you are by me.

Lâ testennûne. “You don’t act on the sunnah.”

Here, what is meant by “not acting on the sunnah” is the failure to use the miswak… in other words, it means, “You do not miswak your teeth. Your teeth are turning yellow, and your mouths are left with an odor.”

Ve lâ tukallimûne azfâraküm. “You don’t cut your nails.”

If nails aren’t cut, they will grow out. When they grow out, they fill with blackness, dust, and dirt. Islam orders to cut the nails to prevent this. The Prophet (peace be upon him) advised this.

“You do not use miswak, you do not cut your nails.”

Ve lâ tekussûne şevâribeküm. “You don’t trim your moustaches.”

What happens if moustaches don’t get trimmed?

They grow out. When they grow out, it gets into the person's mouth and nose. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would trim his moustache as short as he could, to the length of his skin’s color is visible. Because trimming the moustache is appropriate, growing the moustache is not appropriate. Growing the moustache is not appropriate, because it’s just under the nose… If the moustache is short, it will be easier to clean; if the moustache is long, it will be harder to clean.

What is required in Islam?

Moustaches must be trimmed; beards must be grown. Allah makes hair grow under the armpits, too, but that hair needs to be trimmed! This hair has benefits, but it must not be too long; it must be trimmed because when a person sweats, the sweat gets trapped under the hair and creates a terrible smell. That’s why we need to trim those hairs.

People wear newly invented deodorants that eliminate the smell. These things absorb sweat and don’t release it, so people don’t end up smelling like a billy goat. But before deodorants were not in our lives, these hairs created a terrible smell, because of constantly sweating and drying up.

That’s why it is important in Islam to clean the armpits, trim the moustache, cut the nails and toenails. Of course, a person must clean the pubic hair! Old people found some substances. There was a kind of herb called “wormwood” that cleans the hair when it is rubbed and washed.

That’s how the places that dirt can hold onto are cleaned Even boys get circumcised, so don’t get any germs, don’t get sick and be clean…

Islam is a religion of cleanliness!

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

“Yes, the arrival of Jibril is getting delayed. Because you are around me. If you don’t use miswak, don’t cut your nails, don’t trim your moustaches…”

Ve lâ tentifûne revâcibeküm.

Revâcib, is the plural of râcibe, it means “between the fingers.” You need to clean the fingers, and between the fingers. If you don’t clean between the fingers and between the toes, there will be dirt to grow.

In Islam, when you Vudu, it is recommended to wash between the fingers, so that water can get in there and clean the things that are piled up.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “you are not doing these, that’s why he gets delayed.”

The Prophet (peace be upon him) was the most beautiful of the beautiful, the purest of the pure, radiant like a diamond… His teeth and hair were always pristine, he was scented with the finest fragrances, and his nails were meticulously trimmed… Even from the very moment when revelation first descended upon him:

Ve siyâbeke fetahhir. Ordered by, “Tidy up your clothes!”

As an honest person, he has been known as “Muhammad al-Amin”. When the revelation started, he had been ordered to clean the clothes and his body, taking the vudu and ghusl. He is the purest of the pure, cleanest! He is the most beloved servant of Allah; Habibullah, Halilullah… Seyyid-i veled-i Âdem, He is the master of Children of Adam, the crown jewel… Eşrefü'l-mürselîn, ekremü'r-rusül; he is most honored, most noble, most exalted of prophets and messengers… He has every beautiful attribute, yet the shortcomings of his surroundings still affect him.

All of the Companions of the Prophet are Awliya; all of them are deeply precious people -alhamdulillah- but if one does not cut their nails, trim or shorten their moustache, miswak their teeth, or meticulously wash between their fingers; if they perform the ghusl but fail to do it properly, then even though they are good people, this neglect still has an impact. It hinders the angels and the Jibril from coming to our Master, the Prophet (peace be upon him).

Hatta tarih kitaplarında fetretü'l-vahy diye anlatılan, In fact, while the history books explain the reasons behind the fetretü’l vahy, that is “the temporary cessation of revelation”, it is narrated that a small animal had died unnoticed right under the bed inside the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) room, and because of this, the angel would not enter there.

You need to visualize this event clearly in your mind!

The Prophet (peace be upon him) is radiant like a diamond, the people who surround him is good people but if they don’t clean their teeth, if they don’t shorten their moustaches, if they don’t miswak the teeth, if they don’t wash their hands and feet properly, the the arrival of Jibril gets delayed.

So, the beauty of the people who surround the person is an important issue! A person’s surroundings must be beautiful!

What can be brought to the present day from this narrative?

Friends who surround us must be good and clean people! If they are dirty, then the abundance goes away.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

“Your mouth is where you read the Holy Qur’an, your mouth is close to the angels. Your breath odor makes them uncomfortable. Miswak your teeth!”

If the angels feel uncomfortable, then they don’t show up. That’s why we need to be careful about cleanliness! We need to pay attention to the cleanliness of our environment, ensure that the people around us are clean, and teach them about cleanliness as well.

The surrounding outside, outside of our homes, is variable… But cleaning and making them clean the surroundings inside the home and children is up to us… For example, there is a Hadith-i Sharif that says, “the dust inside the homes makes the abundance go away.”

So, the homes should be clean and dust-free. The people inside the homes should be clean and have vudu. They need to cut their nails, and trim their hair...

Of course, ladies do the cleaning mostly. But from other places, places that are outside Turkey, in the country, in the desert, and other places, women don’t wash their hair… Long hair gets matted, tangled, etc. When you work in the fields, there wouldn’t be so much water as in the city. When one doesn’t have the opportunity to wash every day, when there are various deprivations of hygiene, abundance disappears.

Jibril doesn’t come to the side of the Prophet (peace be upon him). So the angels and other blessed things that will come may not come because of that. That’s why we need to think and put Hadith-i Sharif into consideration and take care of our cleanliness. Together with our home, our children, our spouse, our elders, our youth, the helpers we employ in our households, our street, our neighborhood, and the friends and companions we converse with, we must collectively strive to establish a pristine environment. Each of us here must recognize our respective duties. We must endeavor not to fall short in our individual responsibilities regarding this cleanliness and make every effort to practice it beautifully.

It is a very important Hadith-i Sharif!

The arrival of Jibril to the Prophet (peace be upon him) can be delayed because of the situation of the surroundings. Let us not forget that…

Angels may not come into our homes. When there is a dog, a painting, a shape, and a statue of someone, the angels of mercy don’t come inside our homes. But every person also has angels within themselves and around them that never leave their side. For example, the angels who record his deeds don’t leave the person. Even though the man smells awful and his angels get tormented, they don’t leave his side. Because their duty is to record his deeds…

May Allah help them!

Every person’s body contains various angles. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

Vükkile li'l-mü'mini sittûne ve selâsü mieti melek, yezübbûne anhü mâ lem yakdir aleyhi min zâlike li'l-basari tis'atü emlâk, yezübbûne anhü kemâ tezübbûne an kas'ati'l-aseli mine'z-zübâbi fi'l-yevmi's-sâif, mâ lev bedâ leküm le-raeytümûhü alâ külli cebelin ve sehlin küllühüm bâsıtün yedeyhi fâgirun fâhü ve mâ lev vükkile'l-abdü fîhi ilâ nefsihî tarfete aynin hatafethü'ş-şeyâtîn.

Vükkile li'l-mü'mini sittûne ve selâsü mieti melek. . “Every believer has been assigned by 360 angels who have duties.” Yezübbûne anhü. "These angels are assigned to ward off and avert the calamities, disasters, and harms that would otherwise befall him.” Mâ lem yakdir aleyhi. “If these angels don’t exist, then he couldn’t be able to prevent these harms.”

360 angels are assigned by Allah the Almighty to ward off the harms which humans cannot prevent.

Min zâlike li'l-basari tis'atü emlâk. “Nine of them are for the eyes.” Yezübbûne anhü. . “They protect eyes from harm.”

A stone comes right at the eye, but hits the eyebrow, makes it bleed, but you say, “Alhamdulillah, it didn’t hit me in the eye.” Because if it hits right below, you would be blind. A tree branch may hit, fall, etc., but there is great protection.

Emlâk is the plural of the angel; it means “angels”. Melâike is the plural of the angel, too. Emlâk also means in Turkish “Properties”.

Nine of them are protecting the eyes from harm; they protect the man.

Kemâ tezübbûne an kas'ati'l-aseli mine'z-zübâbi. “How do you shoo away the flies buzzing around the dish of honey?” Fi'l-yevmi's-sâif. “On a hot day.”

How do the flies try to come to the dish of honey… and you try to chase them to not fall inside the dish; that’s how the angels protect us.

Mâ lev bedâ leküm. “If the curtain of your eyes unravels…” Le-raeytümûhü alâ külli cebelin ve sehlin. “You would see the angels on every mountain, every meadow.” Küllühüm bâsıtün yedeyhi. “Each one of them with their hands stretched out…” Fâgirun fâhü. "and their mouths open, standing fully prepared and ready." Ve mâ lev vükkile'l-abdü fîhi ilâ nefsihî tarfete aynin. “These angels protect people in such a manner that, if a servant were left to their own devices, if they were not shielded by these angels…” Hatafethü'ş-şeyâtîn. “The demons would instantly seize them, bite them, tear them into pieces, and utterly destroy and ruin them.”

With these angels, humankind is protected.

So, in the body, there are angels with duties. They stand near the body because of their duties. But blessed angels, who bring mercy and benefits to the servant, don’t come; they don’t bring goodness, even though they intended to bring; and the servant got harm because of that.

That’s why a Muslim must be clean, pristine! ! His clothes, his body, his nails, his moustache, his armpit, his fingers must be clean, pristine, and beautiful!

Islam places such importance on cleanliness.

May Allah help us on our way to becoming clean Muslims.

In the same page, there is another Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him), which was recorded by Ibn Asakir, narrated by Huzeyfe ibn-al-Yeman (ra), which its chain of transmission (sanad) is hasan (good/reliable).

Let the whole world know that, because -alhamdulillah- our speeches are not only listened to in Turkey, but the whole world. Brothers and sisters listening from America, from Europe: thanks to them, May Allah be pleased with them all Thus, we spread Hadith-i Sharifs, verses of the Holy Qur’an, and this conveyance of the message is beautifully accomplished. Alhamdulillah…

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

Veledü Âdem, küllühüm tahte livâî yevme'l-kıyâmeh ve ene evvelü men yüftehu lehû bâbü'l-cenneh.

Sadaka Resûlüllah, fî mâ kâl ev kemâ kâl.

According to narrators, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

“Children of Adam -Beni Adem-, which means humans descended from Adam (as) and our Mother Eve, every human…” Küllühüm tahte livâî. “All of them will be under my banner, my flag.” Yevme'l-kıyâmeh. "In the Day of Judgment."

What is the name of the banner of the Prophet (peace be upon him)?

Livâü'l-hamd. "Banner of Hamd."

Banner of Hamd will rise up, the Prophet (peace be upon him) will carry it. The Prophet (peace be upon him) will carry the banner, this banner will fly among the crowd of Last Judgment. Under that banner, who are worthy of the Prophet (peace be upon him), people that the Prophet (peace be upon him) adores, believers; people that Allah the Almighty favors, Allah the Almighty pleased, will be stand.

May Allah include all of us among those who will gather under that banner, under that flag.

The prophets -Ibrahim (as), Musa (as), from Adam (as) to Isa (as), every one of them- will be under that banner. Every one of them will gather under that banner, The Banner of Hamd of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

The most honorable is the Prophet (peace be upon him)… The sole possessor of the Makam-I Mahmud, the one holding Livaü’l-hamd in his hand, the sovereign of all prophets, and the most noble of all the messengers, our Master (peace be upon him)…

May Allah grant us his intercession. May Allah bestow upon us the ability to adhere to His Sunnah and never separate us from his path. May Allah grant every single one of us the privilege to show mercy, be beneficial, and provide utility to His Ummah.

These are the most solid ways to gain the pleasure of Allah. Following the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him), helping His Ummah, being helpful to other people, is one of the most rewarding deeds.

Allah the Almighty, in the Day of Judgement, will gather the good servants under the Banner of Hamd of the Prophet (peace be upon him). May Allah grant us to be one of them; May Allah let us to drink from Havz-ı Kevser… May Allah make us the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) neighbor in heaven…

People from the Ummah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) will arrive to Havz-ı Kevser and will drink from there. When some people go through Havz-ı Kevser, the angels will stop them and drag them. Even the Prophet (peace be upon him) will ask:

“They are from my Ummah. Why are you dragging them?” he will speak out, as if objecting to their removal. The angels will reply:

“Oh Rasulullah! You don’t know these people; what did they do after you… They are not worthy to drink from your Havz. They are guilty, sinners…”

May Allah not make us among those who will be turned away from Havz-ı Kevser. May Allah include us among those who arrive at Havz-ı Kevser, drink from it to their heart’s content, and enter Heaven full of joy and delight. And in Heaven, may Allah grant us the privilege of being neighbors to the Prophet, beholding his beauty, and attaining his blessed companion…

The second sentence of Hadith-i Sharif:

Ve ene evvelü men yüftehu lehû bâbü'l-cenneh. “And I shall be one of very first person for whom the gate of Heaven will be flung open.”

Allah the Almighty ordered Rıdvan, guardian of the Heavens, not to take in anyone before the Prophet (peace be upon him), first take the Prophet (peace be upon him).

“The Gates of Heaven would be closed. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) went there with his most beloveds, the angel who is the guardian of the Heaven will ask…”

Men ente? “You have come all the way to the gate, wishing for it to be opened so you may step inside. Who are you?”

The Prophet (peace be upon him) will say:

“I am Muhammad-i Mustafa, Rasulullah, messenger of Allah, prophet of the end times.”

Then the angel:

Bike ümirtü en lâ efteha kableke yâ Resûlallah! He will say, “Come on in, Oh Rasulullah! I have been ordered not to open the gates before you. You have come, welcome, come on in!” The gates of heaven will be opened, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) will enter first.

You may have heard in the prayers, “Oh Lord, make us enter Heaven with Duhul-i evvelin!” Duhûl is the plural of dâhil, which means those who enter… Duhûl-i evvelîn means “those who enter first”. It is in measure of Fu'l, it is the plural of ism-i fail... There are words like that. For example, sücûd; sâcids, those who perform sajdah. It can be infinitive in the measure of fu’l. In that case, just as duhul means “to enter”, this word carries the meaning of “to perform sajdah”. For instanse, kuud can mean kaids, “those who sit” …

May Allah grant us to enter to the heavens with duhul-i evvelin, the blessed ones who enter the heavens first. May Allah grant us to be neighbors with Habib-i Edibi, may He grant us to behold his beauty, and being present in his blessed company…

How will this happen?

With following the Sunnah… We will follow the Holy Qur’an and follow the sunnet-i seniyye-i nebeviyye, which teaches us the Holy Qur’an’s practices. We will perform Sheriat-I garra-yı Ahmadiyya. The heavens earned through the Sunnah.

Because Allah the Almighty says in the Holy Qur’an:

Kul in küntüm tuhibbûna'llâhe fettebiûnî yuhbibkümü'llâhu ve yağfir leküm zünûbeküm.

“Oh my messenger! Say to those men: ‘If you truly love Allah, then follow me, so that Allah will love you in return and forgive your sins!’”

Which means, “You say, ‘I love Allah.’ If you really love Allah, then love His Prophet. Allah sent him, gave him a book. If you love Allah, then follow His Messenger… Listen Allah’s book… Obey Allah’s commands…”

The requirement for love is obeying, listening, and doing everything what lover says. No one will enter Heaven without loving the Prophet (Peace be upon him)! No one will enter Heaven without obeying the Prophet (Peace be upon him), without accepting his commands!

People need to follow his Sunnah; if a person follows the Sunnah, he will be angel-like, will be Awliya, he will be Allah’s good servant, he will be pristine. In the Sunnah, a lot of cleaning methods are shown. Everyone sweeping in front of their own house is also from the Sunnah… Municipalities ought to inscribe these Hadith-i Sharifs right above their entrance gates! The very principles that would please municipality officials the most are already presented in the hadiths…

May Allah make us among the vigilant, true, and righteous Muslims who recognize the immense value of Islam…

One last Hadith-i Sharif…

It has been narrated by Ibn Umar (ra), Ibn’n-Najjar, and many other ulama of hadith have written in their books.

It is an important issue for me, and I like to repeat it.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

Vakkırû men teallemûne minhü'l-ilm ve vakkırû men tüallimûnehü'l-ilm.

There are two sentences. Calligrapher brothers and sisters can make these sentences into a calligraphy masterpiece for hanging on the walls!

Vakkırû. “Revere him, honor him, show him utmost respect, and treat him as a person of great dignity”

To whom?

Men teallemûne minhü'l-ilm. "Revere the one from whom you acquire knowledge.”"

“Teallemûne” is in the past tense, but it doesn’t say “teteallemûne”, the first “te” has been dropped. In the Holy Qur’an, there are past-tense verbs whose first “te” is dropped. For example:

Tenezzelü'l-melâiketü.

What does it mean?

It means “Tetenezzelü'l-melâiketü”… there was a “te” but it is a rule in Arabic, it can be dropped. It is said, “Show respect for those you acquire knowledge.” This respect shouldn’t be phony, artificial, or merely for show; it must be a reverence rooted in love, holding them in the highest esteem. For they are one’s teacher, imparting knowledge to them.

One should respect the teacher… we know that, but students of the end times are unaware of it.

Yunus Emre said:

What a rugged, perilous time it shall come to be.

The student will fight against his teacher; what a terrible time it will be. In the end times, people will become corrupt, and students will fight against their teachers.

Look at the situation in colleges! There are youth who rebel against their parent, their teachers. It is a sign of the end times… But in Islam, there is reverence for those you acquire knowledge.

When Mehmet the Conqueror entered the pavilion of Akshamsaddin, Akshamsaddin didn’t get up deliberately.

Why?

Because Mehmet the Conqueror was his student. He didn’t get up to educate him so that he wouldn’t be arrogant. Otherwise, he would get up for those younger than himself. In dervishood and Sufism, acting with absolute self-effacement (mahviyyah) is esential. They are indeed the most perfected human beings, yet they did not rise with the intent to reprimand or forcefully discipline him.

One should respect the teacher. We know this, we accept this, we say, “It has to be like that” …

I remember… Kenan Evren became president and kissed the hand of a famous journalist, everyone was shocked. Because it is unusual. Newspapers published articles like, “How can he do such a thing?” But he said in a soldier-like:

"I will kiss! It is in our tradition to kiss the elder’s hand.” So, he didn’t hesitate to kiss hands just because he became president; he acted in accordance with tradition.

It is all good, let’s look at the second part of Hadith-i Sharif. Pay attention! Teachers should hang this inside their studies:

Ve vakkırû men tüallimûnehü'l-ilm. “Show respect also to those whom you teach knowledge!”

The teacher must show respect for the student. It is an exalted, nice thing; I love it. Teachers respect students! For if they are raised as a righteous student, an exact equivalent of all the good deeds they perform throughout their lifetime will also be recorded in the teacher’s ledger.

This is how Islam is…

The English address their students as gentlemen, as “Mister/Miss.”

What does it mean?

It means that, “Become a gentleman, Mister/Miss!” It means that, “I’m taking you as a gentleman, mister/miss. You should know that and act.”

I like that.

Beating a child, twisting their ear, smacking the back of their neck, striking them in the eye, or driving them to utter misery - none of this exists…

They told me about an incident. I got upset because of this incident, but it is rather interesting:

Someone I know and cherish is officially teaching a group of primary-school-aged children, which includes his own child, in the mosque’s classroom so that they may learn religious knowledge. When his own child misbehaved or didn’t study, I really don’t know, he hit that child. His own child, not anyone else’s… The principal has heard this. And they said, “This teacher has hit a child.” And they sent him away.

Very interesting!

Children may misbehave; they can break a glass, jump, and make noises…

What do we do to prevent this type of misbehavior, noise, or mischief?

We shout, “Sit down, shut up!” etc., or teachers take the ruler and say, “Open your hand!” and hit him… Or twist their ear, put him up; children stand on the tips of their toes to prevent pain.

You may know examples and scenes of these from your school years. They even say things like, “A rose blossoms wherever a teacher strikes.” They got beaten… It is often mentioned that in Ottoman times, students were subjected to the falaka. Yet, it hasn’t just remained in the past; even today, in certain places, some teachers might still be beating children. But Hadith-i Sharif is clear…

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Revere the one from whom you acquire knowledge. Show respect also to those whom you teach knowledge!”

This is Islam! Islam is here for fourteen centuries… But look at the 21st-century Muslims are so far away from Sunnah-i Seniyye…

Why is this happening?

It is happening because we don’t know Hadith-i Sharifs and the Holy Qur’an. There is a shallow level of knowledge, culture, and emotion, or lack thereof, based on hearsay and cartoons in newspapers. There is Islamophobia.

You are against Islam, but American and English scholars, philosophers, and intellectuals are becoming Muslim.

Why are you against Islam? Why did you grow as an enemy of religion? You are encouraging the devil’s way; you are following the devil’s path, and you get angry with Rahman’s path! You get angry with Rahman’s commands, addresses, book, and prophet!

What kind of people have emerged in Turkey! People who have said such things about the Prophet (peace be upon him)! I am ashamed and fear to say the words they said. People said horrible things about the Holy Qur’an, about Islam. These ignorant, uncouth souls know nothing of knowledge; they are utterly blind to the value of the jewel. They don’t search, they don’t read, they don’t compare; they accept the propaganda, they are swayed. If they compare, they will see.

Thomas Erving, a Canadian, has become a Muslim. I possessed his book in English in my bookshelf… When he explains why he became a Muslim, he says:

“I compared Islam with other religions, and I saw how beautiful Islam is. That’s why I became a Muslim.”

Turks became Muslim in Central Asia.

How did they become Muslims?

People say, “Islam is spread through violence.” No! Two hundred thousand yurt became Muslims just like that.

Islam didn’t spread through violence at first years either. The number of people who lost their lives in the battles of the Prophet (peace be upon him) does not even reach a thousand; it is a remarkably small figure. It was written by Hamidullah; it is such a small figure…

Those who are called “civilized” commit far greater massacres and slaughter vastly more people. Yet, they market themselves as civilized, and our people are swayed, because they do not know the truth of the matter.

A Canadian journalist, a diplomat, when he compared other religions, he became a Muslim. When he researched the truth, he saw the Holy Qur’an is compatible with reason and logic.

Prof. Dr. Maurice Bucaille, He was a member of French Academy of Sciences… he wrote a book. In his arguments and conversations, he says to his opponents:

“Look, the Torah says this. The Bible says this. The Qur’an says this... See, the Qur’an is logical, the Qur’an is standard…”

Those people explore the depths of the earth, the bottom of the sea, and the deep recesses of space; they grasp cosmic truths and discover incredible things… Meanwhile, we are losing the treasures already found and placed in our hands. The grandchildren of Muslim ancestors are being raised as enemies of Islam and Muslims. They waste their energy fighting against headscarves and beards…

Look at diplomats from Europe and America on TV, they all have beards…

What is this attitude towards beards?

When we came here, our plane waited in the city of Darwin. Waited for an hour. We went down to the lounge, walked around, and looked; there was no quiet place to pray salah… And if we were to board the plane, the salah time would slip away. We went to the police to ask where we can pray salah.

We said, “We need to pray! Where can we pray? Can you show us a room?”

He gave us the security room -with devices, etc.- of his. We prayed salah in there, alhamdulillah, May Allah accept our prayers… He was an Australian police officer, not a Muslim.

While registering his child for school, our friend asked the principal:

“Our children are Muslim. They will be praying at midday. How will that be handled?”

The principal said:

“They can come to my room. My room is available.”

He was a principal of a middle school… This is how it should be! Open-mindedness, showing reverence for the other person’s religious sentiments, and facilitating or securing the means for them to live in accordance with their faith; this is civilization…

May Allah the Almighty awaken us from the slumber of heedlessness. May Allah grant us, as a nation and as a global community, the grace to comprehend the beauties of Islam, to practice them, to convey them to others, and thereby earn His divine pleasure. May Allah allow us to return to His presence not as rebellious sinners, but as accepted, beloved, and well-pleasing servants who have fulfilled their duties as Muslims. May He honor us all with His Heaven and the beauty of His Divine Countenance…
